The crux of the matter….part 4

Here it is. finally. the reason for the Blog…

The straw that broke the camel’s back…

The feather that tipped the scales…

    My breaking point…

Christmas came and went with no pay check in sight. I was patient, understanding. It was the holidays, for Christ’s Sake. i could give him more time.

At first he acted confused. He didn’t know what was going on with my check but he would “look into it”.

The next day, I still hadn’t heard anything so I reached out again.

on the 27th, i reminded him my family was counting on that check. “You will have it Monday at Latest!”

    After that…crickets….

That’s when I messaged him on December 30th and expanded on my financial situation. You know, Father to Father.

On January 15th, I assumed I would never be hearing from Brennan McCloud again. That’s when I started to do some digging.

I tracked down 2 of his business associates. I explained what happened and that Brennan was no longer taking my calls. Oddly enough, he called me back later that same day. What a Quinkydink!

He Threatened me with a lawyer which I gladly welcomed. He came back with the comment that his funds were “pretty liquid” and that I would have to stop calling people if I ever wanted to see any money.

He played the victim card HARD and then said I didn’t have the right to know when I would be paid or what happened to my payroll.

After a long drawn out bitchfest where he complained about his nagging wife and his potential pending divorce, he said he would pay me when his house closed and his snow checks came in. I Just had to wait until February 10th…

February 10th came around but at that point, I was just another Inconvenience. This is the last he has communicated with me.

Here we are in March 2026 and still no money. Why?

Because he invested it into a new business, St. Louis Snow removal, a Millennial Planning Solutions, LLC company. Fun Fact… Millennial Planning Solutions, LLC is owned by none other than Brennan McCloud!

    The actual Job….Part 3

If you’ve been with us so far, it will come to no surprise that the job was not as advertised by the website.

    Shocker, I know…

My first day was Dec 1st, 2025.

I did get work, but there wasn’t any “AI Deployment” or “Data Intelligence & Analytics”. It was cable running, device replacements, and hours of service rep calls.

As I Mentioned in Part 1, I actually really enjoyed it. I was in different places everyday, meeting new people, and putting in 8 to 10 hours a day. Cha-ching!

However, to even go to the first round of assignments, I had to do a little investing up front.

    Let’s do the math…

Equipment (Drill bits, ladders, electrician tools, etc.): $1,100

Fuel (driving personal truck within a 60 mile radius): $500

New tires (tread Separated from all the mileage): $800

This is all while I was in discussion with Brennan about getting more certifications and how he would reimburse me…

For a grand total of $2,400 bEFORE getting my first pay check.

Speaking of which, let’s talk about my pay check…

Brennan told me I had been hired in the middle of a pay cycle so that, along with my first check being held a week, I wouldn’t get paid until Dec 25th. That’s right folks, Christmas.

Picture this…. I’ve just started a new job. I’m already sweating bills and now I’ve invested $2,400 into this new job. Can you guess what the Christmas tree looked like?

If you said “bare”, you guessed right.

literally not a single present for my kids.

That’s fine I told my wife, I’ll get paid on Christmas, or the day after (I know how Bank Holidays work..), and we’ll get the kids ALL the presents. We can salvage the holidays, just be patient.

You did so well the first time, would you like to guess what happened on Christmas?

    Right again! Nothing.

And nothing happened the week after that, or the week after that.

So here it is. The birth of the blog… part 1

After years of working various jobs, destroying my body, trying to provide for my family, i went back to school and got an Associate’s degree in IT. added school loan debt to the list of things i can’t afford but i thought, “It will be worth it when i get that IT career job”.

after 6 months of job hunting, i was starting to lose hope. companies used to want someone with a degree. then, when i get that degree, it seems everyone wants a bigger better degree. always a day late and a dollar short.

    Then i got a response.

A Field Technician Position with Launch IT Services. finally, my break. the foot in the door that i have been looking for. The job was simple. My point of contact, the guy that hired me, would book jobs that i would then complete. replace bad cables, install new servers, general field IT work. it was great, i loved it. I learned new skills everyday and really felt like things were turning around.

the hardest part of the job? putting together the equipment i needed to complete such a variation of jobs. wire cutters, chicken testers, fishing line, butt phone, etc. Brennan did buy some equipment, like CAT cable and small pieces for very specific jobs, but overall, it was out of my own pocket. “it’s fine” i thought. “i’m going to need all of this anyway.”

it really was the perfect job. it was in my field, scratched that ADHD itch, and kept me busy with 2 to 3 jobs a day, 5 days a week.

but of course, as i’m sure most people who have dealt with Brennan McCloud have learned, the good times didn’t last long….
