The “I bet you are wondering how I got here” moment….
First and foremost, post job offer…
I looked into the job, i did.
I looked at the website, I Googled his name, checked out his LinkedIn, and saw nothing that would make me Suspicious.
I justified everything.
I was told that I would be doing various Tech jobs based on Customers’ needs. On the surface it aligned with what the website boosts. the website checked out.
but then again I didn’t click around….
Googling his name came up with podcasts, youtube videos, business profiles. It seemed other people had worked with him, trusted him, why shouldn’t I be able to do the same?
BBB… Bunch’O Brennan BFFs…
His LinkedIn showed his wife, hailey, and even his son as part of the Launch IT business. I dismissed this because…well…who faults a small business trying to make something of themselves?
more lies…
In the end, I missed it. All the subtle red flags, all the Deceit. I was desperate for that stepping stone, on the brink of Financial hardship, blinded by hope and aspiration, and misled by the right keywords and empty promises of a scam artist.
